Born in 1980, in Athens (GR), Marianna Lourba is an MA graduate (Visual Design) of IED (Instituto Europeo di Design) in Milano, Italy.
She has also studied Αrt and Design at Middlesex University of London and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons).
Her work has been exhibited in group and solo shows internationally in Αthens (GR), New York (US), Tokyo (JP), Arezzo (IT), Orvietto (IT), among others. She has received many awards and honors for her work such as DESTE Foundation, Μont Blanc etc.
Since 2012 Lourba’s art object series have been part of the permanent collection of Benaki Museum Art Shop, Athens. For the past ten years she has been a lecturer on Art & Design in undergraduate programs while parallel to her visual arts practice, she holds the position of the Creative Director of Apolyto Creative Spot, a contemporary art workshop. She lives and works in Athens.
Γεννήθηκε το 1980 στη Αθήνα. Η Μαριάννα Λούρμπα αποφοίτησε με
μεταπτυχιακό τίτλο MA στην οπτική επικοινωνία και το design από το IED (Instituto Europeo di Design) του Μιλάνου. Είναι επίσης κάτοχος Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Middlesex University του Λονδίνου.
Εχει εκθέσει σε ομαδικές και ατομικές εκθέσεις στην Αθήνα (GR), στο Τόκιο (JP), στη Νεα Υορκη (US), στο Αρέτσο (IT), στο Ορβιέτο (IT)κ.α. Έχει λάβει διακρίσεις και βραβεία από το Ίδρυμα ΔΕΣΤΕ, την Μont Blanc κ.α.
Απο το 2012 η δουλειά της βρίσκεται στην μόνιμη συλλογή του Artshop του Μουσείου Μπενάκη. Από το 2013
διδάσκει σε κολλέγιο Art and Deisgn. Παράλληλα ειναι Creative Director του εργαστηρίου σύγχρονης τέχνης Apolyto Creative Spot. Ζεί και εργάζεται στην Αθήνα.
